Welcome to the neighbourhood. As a new Evergreen homeowner, we’d like to give you something that grows with you – a complimentary tree for your yard, chosen by you and professionally planted by Parkland Nursery & Landscape Services. It’s our way of saying welcome home.

Here’s how to get your tree.

Step One

Choose your tree and complete the online selection form. If you need help deciding, contact the nursery before submitting – once your form is in, selections can't be changed.

Parkland Nursery will call you to schedule a planting day once they have enough trees ready for your area.

Faq

Tree care & warranty

Everything you need to know to keep your new tree healthy – from watering schedules to warranty details.

Watering your new tree

Water every two days for the first week, then 3–4 times per week for the following two weeks, then twice weekly ongoing. In extreme heat, water more frequently, and when it’s rainy, water less frequently.

Mountain Ash is the exception – it’s sensitive to overwatering. Water three times the first week, twice the second week, and once the third week and thereafter.

Before planting day (site prep)

  • Topsoil must be placed and levelled before your tree can be planted
  • Parkland Nursery will order utility locates on your behalf
  • Trees are for front yard landscaping only, unless you’ve been allocated two – in which case one may go in the backyard

Tree availability

Tree selection is subject to nursery stock availability. If your first choice isn’t available, Parkland Nursery will contact you to discuss alternatives. Visit the nursery on Canyon Ski Hill Road to see what’s in stock, or call 403.340.8755 for current availability.

Warranty

All trees are warranted through the end of the growing season. If you have concerns about your tree’s health, contact Parkland Nursery and a horticulturist will be sent to inspect it.

Please note: only trees planted by Parkland Nursery are covered. The warranty does not cover damage from vandalism, dog urine, de-icing materials, herbicides, overwatering, or neglect.

Haven't received your tree?

No problem – you can request your tree at any time. Simply complete the selection form above and contact Parkland Nursery with any questions. This program is available to all Evergreen homeowners, whether you moved in last week or last year.
